Tiffeny’s dance career spans 34 years. She is in her 21st year of dance instruction. She has choreographed and judged dance team auditions, captain auditions, and routines for several local high schools in the Shelby County and surrounding areas. She has been tested and certified to teach dance by the Southern Association of Dance Masters. In 2012, Tiffeny had the honor of receiving the prestigious “Marjorie Perry Spirit Award”, an award presented for excellence in the field of dance instruction, by Dance Makers Inc.

Tiffeny Served for two years as the Assistant Artistic Director for a former local dance center chain in Talladega County, Alabama. While there, she choreographed for a nationally recognized and title winning competitive team. While working there, she managed one location and instructed at another. Her choreography won many regional awards and state and national titles. In 2008, Tiffeny opened her own studio in Westover, Alabama. Her success only continued to grow, earning several top spots at countless regional competitions, multiple “Most Entertaining” awards, and top 5 appearances in National competitions that included multiple first place wins. Tiffeny owned her studio for 8 years before going back to her roots and love of dance instruction at a local studio. During those 8 years, She won even more regional titles. Having the opportunity to return to one more National final, despite many obstacles, Tiffeny was able to coach her team to a second place National’s victory in 2023.

She is also a superior vocalist. In 2004, Tiffeny traveled to New York City, New York where she had the spectacular opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall. She has won multiple superior awards at solo, ensemble, choir and honors choir competitions. She has held vocal performances at many events across the southeast. Tiffeny is currently a member of Highlands Worship where she has had the privilege of singing for the last 10 years. She sings at the Greystone campus of Church of the Highlands and in the past has served in the roll of Vocal Director and recently returned to her roll as a Vocal Developer.

She has had the privilege of taking classes and training under famed choreographers and renowned instructors such as Janice Barringer, Tommy Alexander, Dena Rizzo, William Gill, Christopher “Zondaflex” Tyler, Darryl Retter, Liz Imperio, her mentors, Becca Retter and Stephanie Genard, as well as the late Frank Hatchett, Steven Boyd, and Steven “tWitch” Boss. Tiffeny feels that it is imperative that she continue her dance education and take classes and conventions whenever she gets the opportunity. This lets her bring new and innovative teaching techniques to her students. Her desire is to give young children the discipline, confidence, and strength that a dancer achieves through many years of training. Tiffeny’s goal is to reach as many children as possible in her lifetime by giving them the joys of performing arts. She thanks God daily for the children He has put in her path.
